Coverings Products I Covet
In less than two weeks, KBB will be attending Coverings, the premier international trade show dedicated to exhibiting what’s up-and-coming and innovative in ceramic tile and natural stone. Held April 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Coverings I am sure will be quite an experience for me, and here is a smattering of my favorite products I’ve been given a sneak peek of thus far.
As part of the Peronda Fashion Lab project, Dsignio deigned the Gen, Kin, Core and new encaustic-cement-effect Roll and Play collections for Harmony by Peronda. I love the puzzle-piece yet calming effect of this material and pattern combination (above).
Memorie by Appiani uses small, glazed mosaic tiles with ample color. The metallic effect adds another level of definition and wonder to this flooring application. I’d love to see how it feels against bare feet.
Andalusi by Realonda is a classic indoor floor and wall mosaic tile collection with a satin finish. I like it because I can’t take my eyes away from the lovely patterns and colors. It reminds me of a kaleidoscope from my youth, and I love the way it aims to brighten up any space.
Icon by La Fabbrica is a full-body, colored porcelain stoneware in a variety of sizes and colors. Shown is tangerine, which I can’t stop looking at. The juxtaposition of its shine and “rough” texture is fascinating.
