Showcasing 40 Vignettes

Set in one of the largest showrooms in New York City, the Hastings Tile & Bath showroom is large enough to accommodate a grand idea: 40 different vignettes under one roof.
“Our showroom in the A+D Building in New York City was not only big enough to give us the freedom to set up these types of displays, but it is one of the most well-respected destinations for the design community,” said Bob Gifford, director of bath products at Hastings Tile & Bath. “Since a large part of our business is working with architects and designers, we knew we wanted to make sure they felt engaged with the products in a way that they might not when they view products online or at other showrooms.”

The team’s challenge was how to display all of the exclusive brands, as well as including other vendors into each vignette, with a cohesive theme. The answer was reached with eight of the 40 displays scaled as common bathroom sizes (8-ft. by 10-ft. or 8-ft. by 8-ft), as well as a smaller 5-ft. by 8-ft. bath to match New York apartment profiles. Hastings carries everything in the eight vignettes, and many of the products in those particular displays are theirs exclusively. All of the vignettes have their own style and are designed down to the smallest details in the scaled bathroom designs.

“The more typical way to display products is to have them all along walls; faucets with faucets, tubs with tubs and tile with tile, which we think is even more confusing,” he added. “We put together displays coordinating our tile and bath products right down to the faucet and accessories to inspire clients.”
